The romantic Inn at Chateau LaFayette Reneau is located at
Chateau LaFayette Reneau Winery, Route 414, in Hector, New York.
The Inn was originally built as the home of fruit farmer George
Cortin in the year 1911, for a sum of $2,987.03. With
renovations, our early American, ten-room farmhouse is bright,
cheerful, warm and inviting. The original Craftsman style
architecture holds sentimental charm, while each room offers
spectacular views of the Reneau vineyards and Seneca Lake. With
a few modern updates like Jacuzzi ‘s for three rooms and private
baths for all the rooms, we create the perfect combination of
simple luxury and preserved antiquity.

Guests can enjoy dining on a wrap around deck overlooking the
lake and its surrounding valleys and dells. A full country
breakfast is offered each morning in either our formal dining
room or on the deck upon request. The vista is brilliant all day
and offers a special magnificence at sunset for which the Inn
has front row seating. The breeze off the lake in summer when
the sun is hardy and strong is cool and refreshing and always a
welcome guest at the dining table. Two living rooms separated by
original oak pocket doors are open to guests for their
enjoyment.
Leave the phones and alarm clocks behind. Linger in long
moments sampling the fruits of the dedicated wine-makers labors
at the Reneau winery. Submerge in your private Jacuzzi, nestled in a cozy country
guest room suited in antique craftsman furnishings.
Fall is harvest time in the vineyards and the sweet autumn
smells of ripe fruit fill the air. The vista displayed from all
ten rooms radiate with russets, fuchsia, gold and amber. A
perfect inspiration for writing, painting or photo-snapping.
In winter, after having spent the day touring the wine
country cross country skiing, wrap yourself in our guest quilts
and read that fabulous book you have put off and go to bed
knowing that when you wake someone will have the coffee brewing,
the juice poured and pancakes on the grill.
In the summer, sun yourself while picnicking under grottos or
on open-aired decks filled with the sounds of summer jazz and
ragtime music.
